It is an excellent cross-linking agent for chitosan.<\/p>\n<h5>Genipin: non-toxic cross-linking agent<\/h5>\n<p>Chitosan is most reactively crosslinked by covalent bonds in the presence of aldehydes such as formaldehyde, glyoxal and glutaraldehyde.
